  • Packing and shipping

Because we are a very small team, we are only able to ship online orders twice a week. Because of this, our deliveries can take a little longer than usual, especially at busy periods. We always work hard to make sure your parcel reaches you in time, so please get in touch if you need something by a certain date. 

 

  •  Stock availability 

We work hard to make sure our products are always in stock, but as many of them are bespoke, there can be delays in the ordering process, especially at busy times. Please email us at shop@ministryofstories.org  and we will be happy to let you know when we expect items in stock. We also do our best to post on instagram when items are back on our shelves. 

 

  • Products and Environmental responsibility

We aim to stock a wide range of products at different price points to ensure everyone can enjoy and purchase from our store. With this in mind we also endeavour to keep our products as environmentally friendly as possible, sourcing plastic free alternatives and Vegan options where possible. We are always looking to improve our environmental impact and make changes as and when it’s possible.

  • About our store

Our store opened at the same time as our fantastic writing centre Ministry of Stories. It acts as a storefront in our community as well as an exciting entrance for our young people. 

Our store celebrates and champions the joy of imagination and the power of writing. You’ll see this throughout our product range, in our marketing and fun interactions with shopkeepers in store.

All our bespoke products and copywriting were dreamt up by our small team and lovingly brought to life, to add a little mischief and fun to the world. 

Every single bit of profit from the store goes right back into work with the young writers at Ministry of Stories. 

 

  • Opening hours

We’re open Tuesday - Friday (1pm - 5pm) and Saturday (11am - 5pm). Our store is run by a very small but dedicated team. When we can, we try to open for more hours at key shopping times in the year.

 

  • Volunteers 

We rely on fantastic volunteers to help us open and stock our store, fulfil our online orders and serve our monstrous customers. Keeping the shop running wouldn’t be possible without them. Anyone over the age of 18 can become a Monster Supplies shopkeeper and can be a great way to gain work experience, meet new people and develop new skills. Delivery information

We currently deliver to UK destinations only, via 2nd class Royal Mail or Parcel Force 48 Hours service.

Postage and packing costs:

  • - £3.50 for orders of up to £25,
  • - £7 for orders £25 - £50
  • - Free for any order over £50

This charge helps cover our costs and ensures your purchases support writing workshops for young people at the Ministry of Stories.

Our team of zombie volunteers aims to fulfil orders twice a week and on the outside you can expect delivery within 12 working days of order confirmation, but usually sooner. Unless something truly hideous happens, in which case delays of several centuries are not unlikely.

Returns information

You can return products if:

- You decide within seven days the product isn’t for you. You’ll receive a full refund, including delivery charge, processed within 30 days of return of the unwanted goods. Please send this with the original returns form supplied with your order, emailing us at shop@ministryofstories.org to let us know it is on the way. Please look after the product when you have it! Do not burn it, eat it, sit on it, drown it, or in any way cause it harm. We might need to ask for compensation otherwise.

- You don’t agree to a change in our terms and conditions or other policies, or you think the product is faulty. You will need to return the product with its original returns form. We’ll check the product upon receipt and email you regarding your refund. We’ll process it as soon as monstrously possible – definitely within 30 days of us emailing to confirm a refund. You’ll receive the full price of the product and delivery, plus any costs for sending it to us.
